ClearVU

In addition to the filtering and triggering functions of Synergy’s DSP array, statistical calculations are made on each block of high speed data for a perfectly accurate display summary. Since no monitor or PC can display every sample in a 200 kS/s data stream, many competitive systems simply discard over 99% of the data and display perhaps every 1000th sample during recording. Hi-Techniques ClearVU DSP algorithms automatically provide a max/min display of all samples at your screen’s full resolution. Even a single-point transient will always be accurately displayed on screen, regardless of mode, sample rate or number of channels. You see the same accurate display in Live, Hold, Playback, on the Synergy screen and on any remote network monitors.

The reduced stream of max/min samples is also stored into the data file. So after the test, the entire recording’s statistics and overview are immediately available for instant validation with no need to process Megabytes or Gigabytes of data. When recordings are opened later, ClearVU presents an accurate overview of any size file in seconds. Systems without this attention to detail may require minutes or literally hours simply to open a multi-Gigabyte file.
