The
NEW Hi-Techniques Sentinel series offers distributed data acquisition
in a robust enclosure designed to operate under the harshest operating
conditions. Its modular design allows for placement of signal conditioning
and digitizers near your sensors, thus eliminating the need for long signal
wires while protecting data integrity.
Error-free wireless or
cabled transmission at high bandwidth ensures completely synchronized
capture and control of an unlimited amount of channels. With Sentinel,
the possibilities for reliable distributed data acquisition are endless.
Key capabilities include:
Compact,
rugged IP68 packaging designed for harsh environments
Wide selection of signal conditioning
and output modules
High data rates up to 4Mbit/s using
wireless or wired Ethernet
Proprietary communication technology
assures error-free wireless and cable transmission
Analog bandwidths to 20 kHz
Synchronization across distributed modules,
wired or wireless
Integrated flash memory for direct data
and parameter storage
Intelligent power management with AC,
DC, battery or solar cell supplies.

Rugged Packaging for Extreme Environments
The Sentinel’s rugged aluminum billet construction
is designed to safeguard operation in even the harshest environments.
Completely encased electronics combined with waterproof connectors provide
a fully IP68 sealed package…the highest rating available. Additionally,
all internal electronics have been selected to withstand the most extreme
operating temperature range from -30 to +85 degrees C.
Our
frameless design means that each individual module is capable of independent,
electrically isolated operation. But modules can be instantly docked by
sliding into the dovetail guide of the adjacent module. A spring locking
mechanism holds the module firmly in place but releases at a touch without
tools. Electrical and system interconnect is handled simply through use
of a solid jumper or through cable interconnect at up to 100 meters per
leg. Longer connection distances can be obtained through use of a repeater
module.
The small lightweight design allows for
placement of Sentinel modules close to your sensors to maximize signal
fidelity. A wide variety of mounting options such as magnetic feet, vacuum
cups and reclosable fasteners are available.
