Specialized Engine Analysis The REVelation engine combustion analysis system is Hi-Techniques' specialized system for per cylinder analysis of horsepower, torque, and frictional losses. Based on the standard Win600e system, the REVelation package adds software for capturing, processing, and displaying information. This system performs (internal) combustion tests as accurately and reliably as systems twice its price. It can provide up to 16 cylinders of engine pressure data every 1/10 of a degree at speeds up to 20,000 RPM. It includes running calculations of IMEP, PMEP, NMEP, Heat Release, Mass Fraction Burn, Max rate of pressure Rise, knock, misfires and many others. The REV can be run as a stand-alone system or connected via Ethernet (TCIP/IP) or other interfaces for combustion data recovery.
Hi-Techniques REVelation system combines combustion analysis with the highest resolution and accuracy available today.
The Hi-Techniques Win600 is capable of acquiring pressure data every 1/10 of a degree at speeds of up to 20,000 RPM and is compatible with all encoders including quadrature output.
Higher resolution on analog inputs and/or bridge inputs (cylinder pressure, needle lift, and strain) leads to higher accuracy of derived values like IMEP, Heat Release, and Max rate of rise. REVelation offers a selection of digitizers from 12 to 16 bit resolution. Our high dynamic range shows you details you've never seen before. Whichever digitizers you decide to use, REVelation produces 16-bit resolution when running with realtime averaging. Add 32-bit mathematics to complete the picture for high quality results, backed up by accurate raw data.
Monitor Changes in Real Time
REVelation gives you realtime display of engine cycles or averaged data over a selected number of cycles. Averaging reduces noise and increases the resolution on repetitive cycles.
Calculations during live acquisition are achieved through C++ routines embedded in the acquisition system itself. Users may elect to run fewer calculations for higher speed throughput or all calculations when monitoring and sending results to a central computer. On-going processing saves disk space since retention of lengthy raw data files many not be needed.
