meDAQ
Portable, Compact Data Acquisition
The
new meDAQ portable data acquisition system from Hi-Techniques combines
high performance 16-bit digitizers with signal conditioning, filtering,
and deep buffer memories for streaming to disk and transient capture.
Configure up to 16 high performance channels per compact mainframe, with up to 500 distributed channels hardware-synchronized and controlled from one computer via Ethernet or wireless connection. Simultaneous sampling on all channels is available at speeds up to 50 MSps. Up to 128 MS memories are available to capture even the most elusive event. Continuous streaming to internal disk or flash drives is available at 100 kSps on all channels.
The meDAQ is a completely distributed Ethernet system. Any computer on the network can display and analyze streaming data in real-time. For remote applications, the meDAQ can be armed for trigger and disconnected from the controlling PC, wait for, collect, and hold data until the PC connection has been re-established to download the data. For quick identification of interesting signal anomalies, user-defined tags and a thumbnail image are saved with the raw data.
The Windows based acquisition and control software supports more than 150 analysis functions. Functions can be combined with logical branch events using the simple to use macro programming language. This macro function includes measurement setup parameters, acquisition commands, data manipulation (FFT, Integration, Statistics), and programming functions such as looping, branching, and user interactions. It even incorporates report generation to automate testing fully, from signal to report. Up to ten macro programs or external applications can be assigned to front panel controls for operation by untrained operators.
The meDAQ is a modular device, so the user decides which options are best for his/her measurements. Optional features include a diverse range of digitizers, high performance signal conditioners for bridge-type transducers and ICP accelerometers, logic triggers, streaming circuits, temperature channels, encoder inputs, IRIG or GPS timing and more.
